Deadpool & Wolverine on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2024 film “Deadpool & Wolverine” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via 20th Century Studios (Disney). The film, directed by Shawn Levy, stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Dafne Keen, Jon Favreau, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Channing Tatum, and Chris Evans. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will feature a digital copy.

The 2024 film The Crow on 4K and Blu-ray in November

The 2024 film adaptation of “The Crow” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on November 5th via Lionsgate, according to retailers. The film, directed by Rupert Sanders, stars Bill Skarsgård, FKA twigs, Danny Huston, Josette Simon, Laura Birn, and Sami Bouajila.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray releases have yet to be detailed but stay tuned for an update. The bonus materials have yet to be announced but stay tuned for a further update. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for preorder at Amazon.

Shaun of the Dead 20th Anniversary 4K in December

The 2004 film “Shaun of the Dead” will get a 20th Anniversary 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 3rd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, directed & co-written by Edgar Wright, starred Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, Dylan Moran, Peter Serafinowicz, Penelope Wilton, and Bill Nighy.

The movie has been remastered and now includes Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Here’s some information.

“Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, Focus Features and Studiocanal have partnered with director Edgar Wright to remaster the movie in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and immersive Dolby Atmos sound.”

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration, supervised and approved by director Wim Wenders.
