Alien: Romulus comes to 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 film “Alien: Romulus” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on December 3rd via 20th Century Studios (Disney). The film, directed & co-written by Fede Alvarez, stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.
Tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy. UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below), or the Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon. Also, the 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray are available for preorder at retailer Walmart.
