The 1992 film “Far and Away” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 17th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). The film, directed and co-written by Ron Howard, starred Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Thomas Gibson, Robert Prosky, Barbara Babcock, and Colm Meaney.

The movie has received a “4K transfer of the 35mm interpositive approved by cinematographer Mikael Salomon.” The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range with Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included.

“I Love Lucy: The Complete Series” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 5th via CBS Home Entertainment & Paramount Home Media Distribution. The set will include the entire six seasons of the TV series (1951-1957) as well as “The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour” (1957-1960) Remastered. It also will include a newly colorized and never-before-released “Lucy and the Loving Cup” episode. I Love Lucy starred Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, William Frawley, and Richard Keith. Wallace & Gromit Early Short Films on 4K in December

“Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Cracking Collection” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray / Blu-ray Disc as a set on December 10th via Shout! Studios. The 3-disc set will include four Aardman Animations early stop-motion animated short films (all directed by Nick Park) in 4K, an extra feature-length film (in HD), a nice share of physical extras, and supplemental materials.
