The 1992 film Far and Away is coming to 4K in December

The 1992 film “Far and Away” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 17th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). The film, directed and co-written by Ron Howard, starred Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Thomas Gibson, Robert Prosky, Barbara Babcock, and Colm Meaney.
The movie has received a “4K transfer of the 35mm interpositive approved by cinematographer Mikael Salomon.” The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range with Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included.
