The 1979 film “Rock ‘n’ Roll High School” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 10th via Shout! Studios. The film, co-directed by Allan Arkush and Joe Dante, starred P.J. Soles, Vincent Van Patten, Clint Howard, Dey Young, Mary Woronov, Paul Bartel, Dick Miller, Don Steele, and Ramones (Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, and Marky Ramone).

The movie has received a new 4K scan from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Dual Mono lossless sound. The 1970 western “Two Mules for Sister Sara” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via KL Studio Classics. The film, directed by Don Siegel, starred Clint Eastwood, Shirley MacLaine, Manolo FábregasAlberto MorinArmando SilvestreJohn KellyDavid PovallAda Carrasco, and Pancho Córdova.

This 4K presentation is that of the International Cut (104 minutes) which comes from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround and Uncompressed LPCM 2.0 Mono sound, on a BD-100 disc. This release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. That Blu-ray features a 2020 4K restoration of the Domestic Cut (105 minutes).
