The 1995 film Seven is coming to 4K in January

According to retailers, the 1995 film “Seven” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on January 7th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, a.k.a. “Se7en,” directed by David Fincher, starred Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow, R. Lee Ermey, Richard Roundtree, and Kevin Spacey.

UPDATED: The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2.39:1 aspect ratio video presentation in HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.

Both releases will include a digital copy. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at Amazon. John Carpenter’s 1998 film Vampires on 4K in January

The 1998 film “Vampires” directed by John Carpenter, will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on January 21 via Scream Factory. The film starred James Woods, Daniel Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, Thomas Ian Griffith, and Maximilian Schell.

The movie has received a 4K restoration from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 stereo sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and you can also preorder directly via the Shout! The 1956 film The Searchers comes to 4K in December

The 1956 film “The Searchers” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via Warner Archive (distributed by Allied Vaughn Entertainment). The film, directed by John Ford, starred John Wayne, Natalie Wood, Jeffrey Hunter, Vera Miles, John Qualen, Olive Carey, and Ward Bond.

The film has been restored and remastered from the original VistaVision camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio Mono sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Special Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio Mono sound, on a BD-50. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included.

The 2023 documentary series “Icons Unearthed: Marvel” will be available on Blu-ray Disc on January 14th via Mill Creek Entertainment. The Nacelle Company 8-episode series, directed by Brian Volk-Weiss and narrated by Joseph Culp, focuses on the history of Marvel Comics as a company and eventually as Marvel Studios with the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” series of films. This includes interviews with Lou Ferrigno, Clark Gregg, J. Michael Straczynski, Todd MacFarlane, Mark Millar, Zack Stentz, Victoria Bennett, JJ Field, and Jeph Loeb.

The tech specs for the release include a 3-disc set featuring a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The Killer’s Game comes to 4K and Blu-ray in November

The 2024 film The Killer’s Game will be released on November 19th on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc via Lionsgate. The film was directed by J.J. Perry and stars Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella, Scott Adkins, Terry Crews, and Daniel Bernhardt.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 form of high dynamic range with Dolby Atmos sound.
