The 1990 film Graveyard Shift on 4K in February

The 1990 film “Graveyard Shift” will come to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray Disc on February 25th via KL Studio Classics. The film was directed by Ralph S. Singleton and was based on the Stephen King novel. It starred David Andrews, Kelly Wolf, Stephen Macht, Brad Dourif, Vic Polizos, Andrew Divoff, Robert Alan Beuth, and Ilona Margolis.

The movie has received a brand new master from a 4K scan of the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Special Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 2015 film The Last Witch Hunter gets 4K SteelBook

The 2015 film “The Last Witch Hunter” will get a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook Amazon exclusive release on January 28th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Breck Eisner, starred Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood, and Michael Caine.

The 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with DTS:X audio. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc HD counterpart included. The 2024 film “A Real Pain” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 4th via Searchlight Pictures (Disney). The film is written by, directed by, and stars Jesse Eisenberg. It co-stars Kieran Culkin, Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy, and Daniel Oreskes. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The release will include a digital copy of the film.

The 2010 film “The Social Network“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on February 18th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film was directed by David Fincher and co-written by Aaron Sorkin. It starred Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer, and Max Minghella. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) on Rotten Tomatoes.

It stars Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche, Charlie Plummer, and Claudio Santamaria. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (according to critics) over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The Shining gets a Walmart exclusive 4K SteelBook

The 1980 film “The Shining” will get a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release exclusively at retailer Walmart on February 4th. This release comes via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film was directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on the novel written by Stephen King. It starred Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers, Barry Nelson, Philip Stone, and Joe Turkel.

NOTE: This film was previously released on 4K UHD Blu-ray in 2019. At that time there was a another exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook with different (yellow) artwork from a different retailer. That was a totally different release than this and appeared at Best Buy. Back when they supported physical media. This new 4K SteelBook features different (red) artwork than the original poster featured on the previously mentioned SteelBook release.

The tech specs for this 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ or HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. This release is a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. It will also include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook exclusive at retailer Walmart, pictured in further detail below.
