Read moreThe 1998 movie “Dark City“ will get 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition and Blu-ray Limited Edition sets on June 24th. The releases are via Arrow Video. Alex Proyas directed and co-wrote the film. The movie starred Rufus Sewell, William Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and Richard O’Brien. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. This release will feature both the Director’s Cut and Theatrical Cut in either 4K or HD.
The movie has received a new 4K restoration from the original 35mm camera negative. Director of photography Dariusz Wolski approved this. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10. It will consist of Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and 2.0 stereo lossless sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. It will also include Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD MA 5.1, and 2.0 sound. The 4K and Blu-ray releases will each come with two discs. There will be an additional 4K UHD Blu-ray or Blu-ray Disc. This addition is for both the director’s cut and the theatrical cut of the film. Each disc will also include extras.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition and Blu-ray Limited Edition are now available at Amazon. Also, you can preorder directly via Arrow Video’s website. The 1993 film “Wayne’s World 2“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 27th via KL Studio Classics. The film, directed by Stephen Surjik, starred Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. The cast also included Christopher Walken, Tia Carrere, and Chris Farley. It also featured Kim Basinger, Aerosmith, and Drew Barrymore. Furthermore, Charlton Heston, James Hong, and Heather Locklear appeared in the film.
The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo. It will be on a BD-100 disc. This release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The movie starred Jonathan Pryce, Robert De Niro, Ian Holm, Bob Hoskins, Michael Palin, Katherine Helmond, and Kim Greist. It’s certainly worth noting that this film has been deemed “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) at Rotten Tomatoes.
This has received a 4K digital restoration of the (143-minute) “director’s cut,” supervised and approved by director Terry Gilliam. Its 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 surround audio mix. This 3-disc set will come as a “combo pack“. It will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart (as well as) another Blu-ray included, with extras.

It starred Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, and Powers Boothe. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
