The 1997 film Mouse Hunt comes to 4K in June

The 1997 film “Mouse Hunt” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 24th via KL Studio Classics. Gore Verbinski directed the film, which Adam Rifkin wrote. It starred Nathan Lane, Lee EvansChristopher WalkenVicki Lewis, and Michael Jeter.

This release features a new master (by Paramount) from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. That Blu-ray will feature the new master of the movie.

Small Soldiers comes to 4K SteelBook in July

The 1998 film “Small Soldiers” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 22nd via Paramount Home Media Distribution. Joe Dante directed this movie, which Adam Rifkin co-wrote. It starred Kirsten Dunst, David Cross, Jay Mohr, Denis Leary, Kevin Dunn, Dick Miller, and Phil Hartman.

The tech specs for the 4K release have yet to be detailed. But, you should expect at least a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio in at least HDR10 and with a lossless 5.1 surround sound mix. Stay tuned for an update on the exact tech specs as more information becomes available. This 4K SteelBook 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Although yet to be confirmed, a digital should also be included. Stay tuned for verification on that and the tech specs.

The Monkey comes to 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2025 film “The Monkey” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on June 24th. Decal Releasing will be distributing for NEON. Osgood Perkins directed and wrote the screenplay adaptation, based on a short story by Stephen King. James Wan produced. The film stars Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Adam Scott, and Sarah Levy. It’s certainly worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 1995 film Clueless comes to 4K in July

The 1995 film “Clueless” will be released in 4K UHD Blu-ray format. It will also be available as a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook starting on July 8th. The distribution is managed by Paramount Home Media Distribution. This is according to retailers. The release will be a “30th Anniversary Limited Edition.” Amy Heckerling wrote and directed this movie. It starred Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd.

The details about this upcoming release have yet to be detailed by the studio. Tech specs should at least include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and a lossless 5.1 surround sound mix. However, stay tuned for an update on the exact tech specs. Essentially, wait until we see the back of the packaging. That being said, it’s unknown what bonus materials will be included with the release. You can likely expect the legacy Blu-ray extras and a digital copy of the film. Each release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The Woman in the Yard gets a Blu-ray in May

The 2025 film “The Woman in the Yard” comes to Blu-ray Disc on May 27th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. This was a Blumhouse film, produced by Jason Blum. Jaume Collet-Serra directed the film. It stars Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, Peyton Jackson, and Russell Hornsby.

Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. This release will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. The 1997 film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” gets a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on June 24th. This limited edition release will come via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Jim Gillespie directed the film. It starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Freddie Prinze Jr., Johnny Galecki, and Bridgette Wilson.

NOTE: This movie was previously released on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format in 2022. Nothing new is included with this release.
