Murder, She Wrote arrives on Blu-ray in June

TV’s “Murder, She Wrote: The Complete Series” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 17th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The show ran a total of 12 seasons and starred Angela Lansbury as “Jessica Fletcher.”

This 62-disc set includes all 264 episodes along with an additional 4 TV movies. Bonus materials are also said to be included.

The tech specs for the release are speculated to include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio and lossless 2.0 stereo sound. The Blu-ray set is now available for preorder at Amazon. Stay tuned for any further details. Below you will find a product description.

The 1995 comedy Billy Madison starring Adam Sandler comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 29th via KL Studio Classics. Tamra Davis directed the film, which Adam Sandler co-wrote and produced. The movie has received a new master from a new 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. Audio will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo configurations. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 sound.

The movie has received a new master by StudioCanal, from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. Snow White is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2025 live-action film “Snow White” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on June 24th via Disney. Marc Webb directed the film. It stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound. Both releases come as a “combo pack” with the 4K including a Blu-ray & the Blu-ray including a DVD. A digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere, will be included with each release.

The 1974 film “Earthquake” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 8th. These releases will arrive via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Mark Robson directed the film. It starred Charlton Heston, Ava Gardner, George Kennedy, Lorne Greene, Genevieve Bujold, and Richard Roundtree.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range, on a BD-66 disc. Dolby Atmos and DTS 2.1 “Sensurround” sound mixes will both be included.

The Western film Rust is coming to Blu-ray in July

The 2024 film “Rust” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 22nd via Ascending Media Group, distributed by Decal Releasing. The movie was co-written and directed by Joel Souza. Alec Baldwin also co-wrote the film, as well as produced and starred in it. It co-stars Josh Hopkins, Patrick Scott McDermott, Frances Fisher, and Travis Fimmel. The final cut of the movie features cinematography by the late Halyna Hutchins, who died tragically on the set. Bianca Cline also served as the director of photography on all other scenes.

The technical specifications for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. No bonus materials will be included with this release. It’s also worth noting that a 4K digital version is available. There will not be a 4K physical media release. This could be because that is only presented in 4K SDR (standard dynamic range) without HDR.
