Light of My Life is coming to Blu-ray in October

The 2019 film Light of my Life starring Casey Affleck and Anna Pniowsky is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 8th via Paramount. The film was both written and directed by its star Casey Affleck. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have not yet been officially detailed but you can for sure expect 1080p HD video and uncompressed sound. Stay tuned for hopefully an update on that soon. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can find the Blu-ray now available to pre-order over at Amazon. No bonus materials will be included on this release.

Child’s Play 2019 comes to Blu-ray September

The 2019 version of “Child’s Play” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 24th via Fox. The film, directed by Lars Klevberg, features a cast of Aubrey PlazaBrian Tyree Henry, Tim Matheson, Gabriel Bateman, and the voice of Mark Hamill (as “Chucky”). Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. There’s not a pre-order listing yet over at Amazon for this on Blu-ray, however, it is available for pre-order over at retailer Best Buy. Stay tuned for an update on the Amazon pre-order. 2004 Hellboy film on 4K UHD Blu-ray in October

The 2004 Guillermo del Toro directed film adaptation of Hellboy is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 15th via Sony. The film starred Ron PerlmanDoug JonesSelma BlairJeffrey Tambor, and John Hurt. Tech specs for the release include remastered video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos, as well as the original theatrical 5.1 sound – likely in DTS-HD Master Audio. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc and digital copy (code) of the film included. UPDATE: This title on 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. There will also be a 4K Steelbook for the release Exclusive to retailer Best Buy, which is now available for pre-order but lacks any artwork. Stay tuned for an update on that.

Both the Theatrical and Director’s Cut versions of the film will be presented on the 4K disc. The bonus materials set to be included on the release, with some 4K exclusives, are listed below.

The 1998 film John Carpenter’s Vampires is getting a “Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray Disc release on September 24th via Scream Factory. The film, directed by John Carpenter, starred James WoodsDaniel BaldwinSheryl Lee, Thomas Ian Griffith, Maximilian Schell, and Tim Guinee. The tech specs for the release have not yet been fully detailed but you can expect full 1080p HD video in the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio with lossless (DTS-HD Master Audio) sound, likely in both 2.0 Stereo and 5.1 surround configurations – although not yet confirmed. The Collector’s Edition Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release have just been detailed today and are listed below.

The House of Hitchcock Collection Limited Edition Blu-ray Disc box set is coming on October 1st, via Universal, according to retailers. The box set will include a total of 15 movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Those films, all previously available on the Blu-ray format, included in this set are listed below (in chronological order):
