Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2021 film “The Marksman” starring Liam Neeson is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 11th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Robert Lorenz, co-stars Katheryn Winnick, Juan Pablo Raba, Teresa Ruiz, and Jacob Perez. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with its DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can find the Blu-ray now available for preorder over at Amazon. The only bonus material set to be included with this release is listed below.

The 1994 film “Speed” will officially be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 4th via 20th Century Studios (Disney). The film, directed by Jan de Bont, starred Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper, and Sandra Bullock. The tech specs for the release include a 2160p presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital copy of the film.
UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at retailers Best Buy and Target.

Amazon Commissions EarnedTo celebrate the 20th anniversary the 2001 film “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” will be getting a new remastered Blu-ray Disc release on June 1st via Paramount. The film has been previously remastered for the 4K release and this will be the first time that the remastered version has been available on the Blu-ray format. The film, directed by Simon West, starred Angelina Jolie. Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD presentation and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come with a digital copy of the film. The bonus materials set to be included on this 20th anniversary edition of the film on Blu-ray are listed below.

Also, there will be a “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2-Movie Collection” 4K UHD Blu-ray set available on June 1st available as well, via Paramount. These two films, including the sequel “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life” (2003), have been previously released on the 4K format individually but they will be getting bundled together to celebrate the anniversary of the first film. You can find that release pictured below and the 2-Movie Collection 4K UHD Blu-ray set is now available for preorder over at Amazon. The tech specs, for those films on 4K UHD Blu-ray, include 2160p in HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. This release will not include the previous Blu-ray releases of either film, so that means likely the bonus materials will be on the 4K discs? Also, you’ll get a digital copy of each film with this set (pictured below).

The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. The “Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 8th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The set (collection) includes the four films, all directed by Steven Spielberg, executive produced and based on a story by George Lucas, and starring Harrison Ford. The films, which have all been remastered, included in this set are as follows:
The four movies have all been remastered from 4K scans and director Steven Spielberg has approved. Below you’ll find a bit of info regarding the work that has gone into this release, quoted from the press release just issued.
“Now, for the first time ever, all four films are available together in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision® and HDR-10 for ultra-vivid picture quality and state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos® audio*. Each film has been meticulously remastered from 4K scans of the original negatives with extensive visual effects work done to ensure the most pristine and highest quality image. All picture work was approved by director Steven Spielberg.
In addition, all four films were remixed at Skywalker Sound under the supervision of legendary sound designer Ben Burtt to create the Dolby Atmos® soundtracks. All original sound elements were used to achieve the fully immersive Dolby Atmos® mixes while staying true to each film’s original creative intent.”
The tech specs for the films (as mentioned above) include a 2160p presentation for each film with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. This release will come as a 5-disc set and does NOT include the Blu-ray Disc counterparts of the films, just the 4K UHD Blu-ray discs and a digital copy of each film.
UPDATE #3: You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray 4-Movie Collection now available for preorder over at Amazon. Also, it is worth noting that you can find it already listed over at retailer Target.
