1990 film adaptation of Misery is coming to 4K in October

The 1990 film adaptation of Stephen King‘s Misery is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 12th via KL Studio Classics. The film, directed by Rob Reiner, starred James Caan, Kathy Bates, Richard FarnsworthFrances Sternhagen, and Lauren Bacall. KL Studio Classics just announced this on Facebook in a post less than an hour ago.

The tech specs include a 2160p 4K video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range as well as lossless 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound mixes, set to be on a BD-100 disc. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will also include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart (in 1080p HD) as well as the bonus materials. It will also come in with a limited-edition slipcover (pictured above).
