Spider-Man No Way Home comes to 4K and Blu-ray April

The 2021 Marvel Studios film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on April 12th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.  The film, directed by Jon Watts, stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, and Alfred Molina.  It should most certainly be noted, at the time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound.  Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in 2.39:1 aspect with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.  Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K UHD Blu-ray getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting the DVD counterpart, and each includes a digital code (copy) of the film.

You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.  It’s also worth noting that online retailer Best Buy will be getting an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured) below which is now listed.

UPDATE:  There will be an exclusive “Fan Art Edition” on 4K UHD Blu-ray available of the film over at retailer Target (pictured below) which is now available for preorder.

Spider-Man No Way Home is coming to 4K and Blu-ray

The 2021 film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” appears to be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray next year via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, according to retailer listings. There’s no official release date at this point, but stay tuned for a later news story when it gets fully announced.

The film, directed by Jon Watts, stars Tom HollandZendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Wong, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, and Alfred Molina.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray releases have not yet been detailed, nor have bonus materials, but stay tuned for an update on that [as said before] when the title gets officially announced. In the meantime, you can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases available for preorder over at Amazon. You can also find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at retailer Best Buy. The 2020 film The King of Staten Island starring Pete Davidson is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 25th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, directed & co-written by Judd Apatow, co-starred Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, Steve Buscemi, Bel Powley, and Maude Apatow. Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will also include its DVD counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. Spider-Man Far From Home on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2018 sequel “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 1st via Sony. The film which is part of the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” from Marvel Studios was directed by Jon Watts. The cast to this film included Tom HollandSamuel L. JacksonJake Gyllenhaal, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range along with Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and presumably just a 5.1 or 7.1 DTS-HD MA lossless mix – although not specified by the studio in the press release. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc versions are now both available for pre-order over at Amazon. Retailer Best Buy will be getting a 4K Exclusive Steelbook (pictured below) which is available to pre-order.

Blumhouse’s “The First Purge” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in October

The 2018 Blumhouse produced film The First Purge directed by Gerard McMurray is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 2nd via Universal Studios. The first retailer showing its release date is Best Buy, as you can see. It’s already available for PRE-ORDER on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K release including a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray release including a DVD, and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include 2160p 4K video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 (for of High Dynamic Range) and DTS:X sound. The Blu-ray Disc release tech specs include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS:X sound.
