Nickelodeon film “Good Burger” on Blu-ray in February

The 1997 Nickelodeon film “Good Burger” starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell is finally coming to Blu-ray on February 16th, 2021, via Paramount. The film, directed by Brian Robbins, was a spin-off from a sketch that originally aired on the Nickelodeon show “All That” back in 1994. The film adaptation co-starred Sinbad, Abe Vigoda, Shar Jackson, Dan Schneider, Jan Schweiterman, Josh Server, Linda Cardellini, Shaquille O’Neal, and George Clinton. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD presentation in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. You can now find the Blu-ray listed to preorder over at Amazon. Only one bonus feature will be included on the release which is listed below.

“The Curse of La Llorona” comes to Blu-ray August

The 2019 horror film The Curse of Llorona is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 6th via Warner. The film, directed by Michael Chaves, stars Linda Cardellini, Raymond Cruz, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, and Sean Patrick Thomas. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound [misspelled in the press release]. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and digital copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon and Best Buy. The 2018 film “Green Book” starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on March 12th, via Universal. The film, directed by Peter Farrelly, co-stars Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco, Dimiter D. Marinov, Mike Hatton, P.J. Byrne, and Joe Cortese.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video presented in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Technical specifications for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.00:1 aspect with Dolby Atmos sound. Both release will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting DVD, and both getting a Digital Copy of the film. Paul Feig film “A Simple Favor” on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in December

The 2018 film “A Simple Favor” starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 18th via Lionsgate. The film was directed by Paul Feig and is based on the novel written by Darcey Bell. The film has received much critical acclaim, and in fact is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio and the same Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound. Disney Series “Gravity Falls: The Complete Series” Blu-ray in July

The Disney animated TV Series “Gravity Falls: The Complete Series” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc in a 7-Disc set on July 24th via distributor Shout! Factory. The show, which ran originally on the Disney Channel and later on Disney XD (for a total of 40 episodes), featured the voice talents of Kristen Schaal, Jason RitterAlex Hirsch, and Linda Cardellini.

Tech specs for the release will for sure include full 1080p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and (presumably) DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound, however this info has not yet been fully detailed / verified, so stay tuned for an update on that. The Blu-ray set is available already for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on this were just unveiled today by the folks at Shout! Factory and are listed below.
