The House of Hitchcock Collection Blu-ray October

The House of Hitchcock Collection Limited Edition Blu-ray Disc box set is coming on October 1st, via Universal, according to retailers. The box set will include a total of 15 movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Those films, all previously available on the Blu-ray format, included in this set are listed below (in chronological order):

  2. Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
  3. Rope (1948)
  4. Rear Window (1954)
  5. The Trouble with Harry (1955)
  6. The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)
  7. Vertigo (1958)
  8. North by Northwest (1959)
  9. Psycho (1960)
  10. The Birds (1963)
  11. Marnie (1964)
  12. Torn Curtain (1966)
  13. Topaz (1969)
  14. Frenzy (1972)
  15. Family Plot (1976)

The release will include not only the physical form box set replica (of sorts) of the infamous “Psycho” house but it’ll even include blueprints, movie poster cards for each film, a booklet about his work, a “Do Not Disturb” door hanger sign from the “Bates Motel”, letters, and more. Hitchcock’s 1942 film “Notorious” gets a Criterion Collection Blu-ray in January

The 1942 Alfred Hitchcock directed film Notorious starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman is getting released on Blu-ray Disc by The Criterion Collection on January 15th, 2019. The film had previously been released on the format by MGM back in 2012, but it’s now getting re-released because it has received a New 4K restoration. The tech specs for the release include 1080p HD Black & White video in the 1.33:1 aspect ratio with an uncompressed Mono sound mix. The Criterion Collection version Blu-ray is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon and directly via Criterion.
