The 1998 film “Wild Things” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in a Limited Edition box set on May 24th via Arrow Video.  The film, directed by John McNaughton, starred Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon, Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, Theresa Russell, and Bill Murray.  The film has received a new 4K restoration of both the theatrical and UNRATED Edition versions, as noted below.  Hence, this release will include both versions in 4K.

“New 4K restorations of both the Original Theatrical Version and the Unrated Edition from the original camera negatives by Sony Pictures Entertainment”

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range along with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and uncompressed 2.0 Stereo sound mixes.  It’s worth noting that there will be a Blu-ray “Limited Edition” release also coming from Arrow Video and that it will include the same sound tech specs as mentioned above and be in 1080p HD video in the same aspect ratio.  Also, both the 4K and the Blu-ray releases are 1-disc sets. So, in other words, the 4K is not a “combo pack” and does not include the Blu-ray counterpart.
