RUMOR: First three “Rambo” films are coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in November

The first three “Rambo” films starring Sylvester Stallone come to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 13th via Lionsgate, it sure would seem, according to numerous early alerts to retailers. The films, set to be released individually, include First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988). Tech specs have been listed on a few places state they’ll receive HDR10 form of high dynamic range and all be presented in their original 2.35:1 aspect ratio with a lossless 5.1 mix. Meanwhile another source is indicating that they all will receive Dolby Vision form of HDR as well and Dolby Atmos sound. Let’s hope that turns out to be true, as it’s a tad bit confusing relying on just a few sources. Overall there is nothing in terms of tech specs really definitive here, yet.

All three films on 4K are now available for PRE-ORDER over at Barnes & Noble, where you’ll find the release date listed for each release. For links to each of those listings just click on the titles (further above) or on the cover art (above and below after the break). There are no pre-order listings on Amazon or Best Buy yet, but stay tuned for an update on that as well as more official information as the titles get likely announced soon. Also, it should go without saying that you should consider this somewhat of a rumor until these three titles are officially announced by the studio. Now, below after the break you can find the cover art (not final) for the two other films.

Lastly, credit goes to Reel Cinematics on Twitter for breaking the news and posting this placeholder artwork. I also have done some research in finding the pre-order listings and some other info, just by searching the web. Again, stay tuned for any further updates on these releases.
