The 2012 David Fincher directed film “Panic Room” starring Jodie Foster and Kristen Stewart is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 30th via Sony, according to an early alert to retailers. The film never even received a release on the Blu-ray Disc format, here in the United States, so it will be nice to finally see it released not just HD, but in Ultra HD. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed. There’s a placeholder page over at retailer Best Buy right now, but doesn’t function yet as a pre-order page. There’s even a French 4K UHD Blu-ray being released in November. So this all seems to hold validity, that the title is in fact coming to 4K both stateside and in France. That said, I wouldn’t even consider it a rumor, however it does lack an official announcement from the studio.┬áStay tuned for updates regarding this release.
